IELTS
IELTS – IELTS is one of the most recognized English language tests globally and is used to check the English proficiency of individuals who want to study or do a job in an English-speaking country. This includes countries such as Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK, and the USA.

IELTS — The International English Language Testing System is one of the most recognized English language tests globally. IELTS is used to check the English skill level of individuals (from non-speaking English countries) who want to study or do a job in an English-speaking country. The IELTS test assesses a candidate in four areas — listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The score is presented on a scale of 1–9 band, where 1 is the lowest and 9 is the highest.
The British Council developed IELTS in collaboration with the University of Cambridge and an Australian organization called IDP Education Australia, designed to act as proof to check your English speaking, writing, reading, and listening level. The IELTS test is acknowledged by over 10,000 institutions globally, including universities, colleges, governments, and employers.
Depending on the countries and universities you are applying for, students require a specific IELTS score to get admission and a visa. In the UK for a Student Visa — the general Tier 4, bands requirements with an overall minimum score of 6, while in Canada it is 6.0.
UKVI IELTS
If you are applying for a UK visa, you can also give an IELTS test approved for UK Visa and Immigration (UKVI) purposes known as IELTS for UKVI. UKVI stands for (UK Visa and Immigration).
UKVI IELTS — IELTS is a test meant for anyone who wants to pursue an academic or professional career internationally. It includes IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training.
However, if you are applying for a UK visa, you can also give an IELTS test approved for UK Visa and Immigration (UKVI) purposes known as IELTS for UKVI. This applies to everyone coming from a non-English-speaking country.
While there is no change in the content, format, or level of difficulty and scoring, IELTS for UKVI simply follows certain extra security protocols to ensure the authenticity of the test taker. Also, your Test Report Form (TRF) may look slightly different from the one given for IELTS Academic or General Training.
UKVI stands for (UK Visa and Immigration). The students from non-English speaking countries looking to study or work in the United Kingdom (UK) need to clear IELTS for UKVI (Academic and General Training). IELTS for UKVI is a UK government-approved Secure English Language Test (SELT). IELTS and IELTS for UKVI follow the same format, content, scoring, and level of difficulty. The only thing different is the Test Report Form (TRF).

PTE
PTE is the Pearson Test of English Academic, a multi-level test computer-based English language test to determine the reading, listening, writing, and speaking capability of the candidate remarkably to IELTS and TOEFL.

The question set often combines the two skills together speaking and writing. The exam format has 20 questions — speaking and writing 70–90 mins, reading skills 30–40 mins, and listening 45–60 mins. The entire test lasts for 3 hours, and the speaking part is done via voice recording on the computer, and the test is then sent for marking.

TOEFL
TOEFL stands for Test of English as a Foreign Language, administered by the US-based organization the Education Testing Service, and hence it is conducted only in American English.

The TOEFL test attempts to test the student’s ability to communicate in English during their academic period. TOEFL is administered by the US-based organization the Education Testing Service, therefore, TOEFL is conducted only in American English.
TOEFL is more likely majorly accepted by American academic institutes. The exam is conducted to judge the student’s ability to understand the English language. The exam tests the reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills of the students. TOEFL is a standardized exam for non-English language speakers to get admission to English-speaking universities. Professional institutions conduct the test.
TOEFL exam has four sections: Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking. Each section’s scoring is from 0 to 30. The total scoring range of the exam is 0 to 120. The mean score of 80 is considered good. The mean score is derived by adding the scores of each section.

FRENCH LANGUAGE

French is one of the easy languages to learn, and anyone can learn by learning basic methods (grammar and pronunciation) and starting communication in French for several weeks.
The French language proficiency tests are developed for people whose native language is not French. There are various French proficiency — DELF, TEF, DELE, HSK, TOPIK, JLPT, ZD, TestDaF, TORFL, CELI, etc. that offers an international standard for measuring practical proficiency in French including. The exams are designed to know the candidate’s communicative skills in real-life situations. How the candidates speak, read, listen and write.
DELF (Diplôme d’Études en Langue Française) and DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française) are the diplomas awarded by the French Ministry of Education to improve and teach the non-French candidates the skills of the French language. There are six independent diplomas in this course.
There are almost 150 countries where students can appear for these French proficiency tests. There are six independent diplomas corresponding to the six levels of the CEFRL (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
Candidates can opt for one of the five versions of DEFL depending on the age of the candidate. The different levels of CEFR are A1.1, A1, A2, B1, and B2. The DAFL is for experienced users only. It validates C1 and C2 levels of the CEFR.

GERMAN LANGUAGE

SAT
The Scholastic Assessment Test or SAT is a distinguished admission test and it is required to be given by those candidates who wish to seek admission to undergraduate programs primarily in the USA.

It is required to be given by those candidates who wish to seek admission to undergraduate programs primarily in the USA. SAT scores are used by more than 4,000 undergraduate programs in the USA. The SAT exam is conducted four times a year in India, in the months of March, May, October, and December. The test is scheduled for the first Saturday of this month. The new SAT focuses more on the skills and knowledge that you will likely encounter in high schools, colleges, and in the job aspects.
While undertaking SAT preparation, it is important to remember that the test is divided into four sections. These are namely the Reading, Writing and Language, Maths, and an Optional Essay. With a total duration of 3 hours and 45 minutes, students are required to give the exam to the best of their abilities. Scored out of a total of 1600, a good score is considered that of a 1250+, but that again depends on the university under consideration. Candidates can make an application for this exam online and face no restrictions on the number of times that they can appear for the same. The SAT exam scores are valid for a period of 5 years. The process to attain the scores takes between 17-22 calendar days.
GRE – GRADUATE RECORD EXAM
GRE — The Graduate Record Examinations is a standardized exam that has existed since 1936. Candidates interested in studying abroad to pursue a master’s degree, law studies, or doctoral degree in the USA take it usually. The GRE exams are executed by the Educational Testing Services (ETS).
There are two types of GRE tests — the General and the Subject Test:
- GRE General Test — The general test evaluates your ability in analytical writing, quantitative knowledge, and verbal reasoning skills. The GRE General Test is computer-delivered. However, there is also the option for you to do a paper-delivered test twice a year, provided you don’t have access to the computer-delivered one.
- GRE Subject Test — The Subject Test evaluates your proficiency in the subject that you have selected. You can choose between Physics & Psychology, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry (Cell & Molecular Biology), and English Literature. The GRE Subject Test is required to get admission to a specialized course.
The GRE General Test consists of three sections:
- Analytical Writing: 1 section, two tasks (60 minutes)

- Verbal Reasoning: 2 sections, 40 questions (60 minutes)

GRE Scores:
In the Subject Test you can gain between 200 and 990 with an increment scale variation of 10 points. The GRE results are declared 10 to 15 days after you have written the exam, and it is valid for five years.
- Verbal Reasoning: 130–170-point scale, in 1-point increments.
- Quantitative Reasoning: 130–170-point scale, in 1-point increments.
- Analytical Writing: 0–6-point scale, in half-point increments.
GMAT

The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is commonly used as the primary exam reviewed by business schools to gain entrance into an MBA program.
It is a computer-adaptive standardized test, conducted by the Graduation Management Admission Council (GMAC). The GMAT is commonly used as the primary exam reviewed by business schools to gain entrance into an MBA program. Business schools all over the world use this test as one of the many criterion selections for admission into graduate business administration programs.
GMAT is a 3 hour 7-minute-long computerised test. The test consists of four sections – Analytical writing assessment, Integrated Reasoning, Quantitative and Verbal. The test takers are judged on these skills and are given a GMAT score between 200 and 800 in 10-point increments. Scores are valid for five years.
