List of Undergrad Universities to Target in Canada for Jan 2023

In recent years, the number of students interested in studying abroad has surged, making Canada a more popular choice than the UK and the US. In contrast to Indian universities, Canadian universities offer three admission intakes every year.

At a Canadian university, there are three semesters: Fall, Winter, and Summer. September begins the fall semester, January begins the winter semester, and May begins the summer semester.

Canadian universities tend to get maximum student admission in the fall. Students who couldn’t get in the fall intake can also enroll in the winter intake. Summer intake courses may not be available in all academic departments. Also, all programs may not be available during the winter intake period. Hence, there are limited seats than in the fall intake for this intake.

As there are fewer applicants, there is less competition, which some students find to be an advantage. However, this is still your most viable option if you can’t get into the fall deadline. Many universities can accommodate applications for courses with vacancies.

Universities typically invite winter semester student applications with two-year intakes.

Below are the Canadian institutions that accept applications for winter 2023:

1. University of Lethbridge

Located in Alberta, the University of Lethbridge — also known as ULethbridge or uLeth — is a renowned public research university. It has a significant influence on Canadian higher education due to its academic environment rich in innovations and a system that meets the educational needs of its students.

Across its two campuses – Lethbridge and Calgary – the University of Lethbridge offers more than 150 courses. The Calgary Campus offers degree programs in health sciences and management through evening and weekend courses.

The courses at the University of Lethbridge include Education, Business, Indigenous Topics, Fine Arts, Humanities & Culture, Environment & Agriculture, Health, Math & Technology, and Sciences. 1. Associate of Arts Degree

Associate of Arts degrees is offered in two-year undergraduate programs that provide a liberal arts education in history, mathematics, psychology, social science, and literature. Students who earn an Associate of Arts degree can find employment or pursue further studies to obtain a bachelor’s degree.

The students require a minimum of 60 credits to gain the Associate of Arts degree. The credits are divided into four parts:

  • First-year English: 6 credits
  • Mathematics/Science: 9 credits
  • Arts, Science, or other areas: 9 credits
  • Arts: 36 credits (First year: 18 credits | Second year:18 credits)

2. Associate of Science Degree

An Associate of Science degree is designed to provide students with broad knowledge and experience that prepares them for entry into the job market or further study.

As part of an Associate of Science degree program, students will gain a multidisciplinary knowledge of natural and applied sciences. 3. Bachelor of Business Administration
